Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Japan Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Wash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wash is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All I Do Is Win. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Japan Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Owen Wash! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wash throws a head kick that misses. Wash misses with a head kick.

Fighter manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wash on his heels. He'll look to pass Wash's guard now, I'm sure. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Fighter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Fighter stops Wash from standing up.

We're going to have a standup here because Japan Fighter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Fighter avoids the head kick by Wash.

Owen Wash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fighter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wash to the ground. Fighter is now in Wash's guard. Wash looks gassed! Fighter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wash napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wash pushes Fighter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fighter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Fighter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wash on the ground. Wash trying to remain calm as Fighter controls from the top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Japan Fighter wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Fighter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wash napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wash gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fighter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fighter is rocked! Wash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oh Fighter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wash pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Wash displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fighter. Fighter seems to have got his legs back now. Fighter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wash's half guard. Fighter uses his free foot to push down on Wash's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wash. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fighter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wash is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wash is bucking up trying to escape but Fighter cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Fighter controlling from mount. Fighter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fighter scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wash?
Wash takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Fighter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wash blocking the ground and pound. Wash avoids a series of strikes thrown by Fighter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Japan Fighter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter dominating with strikes here. Fighter controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Fighter. Fighter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fighter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Japan Fighter dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wash for as long as he can get away with. Japan Fighter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Japan Fighter. Fighter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fighter trying to control the pace.

Wash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wash stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wash wants it to stay on the feet. Fighter shoots in and gets a takedown into Wash's guard. Fighter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fighter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fighter stops Wash from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Japan Fighter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fighter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
