Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshii Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Akiyama might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Time to say Goodbye. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kale Perez!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez misses with a head kick.
Perez fails with a takedown attempt.
Akiyama tries to clinch but Perez is having none of it.

Perez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Akiyama is fending him off so far but Perez persists. Nope, Akiyama circles away and we're back to standing.
Yoshii Akiyama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kale Perez.

Perez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Akiyama has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Akiyama!

and Perez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Akiyama's guard.

Perez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Akiyama is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Akiyama has escaped and now he's on top!

Akiyama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Perez circles away quickly and effectively.
Akiyama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
