The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziomek closes the distance and clinches.
Belfort misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ziomek blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ziomek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Belfort digs a good hook to Ziomek's body.
Belfort misses the body punch
and Ziomek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Belfort's guard now.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ziomek is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ziomek passes Belfort's left leg - he's now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
