Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Po Panda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Owth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panda comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Po Panda! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ruben Owth! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Owth swings for the body but Panda moves out of range.
Owth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Panda moves away. Owth pivots, looking for a leg kick but Panda is out of range and Owth settles back down. Owth misses with a wild body shot. Panda shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Owth napping and manages to drive through into side control! The strikes coming from Panda are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Owth can't do much from the bottom here. Panda working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Panda in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Owth tries to bench press Panda off him but Panda keeps the position. The ground and pound from Panda seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Owth can't do much from the bottom here. Panda throws a strike aimed at the side of Owth's head but Owth avoids it well. You can see the frustration on Owth's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Panda lands a decent elbow from side control.

The referee takes a look at Owth to see if he's OK. Owth is still in real trouble! Can Panda finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Owth is looking for a sweep. Panda lands a strong strike to the head of Owth. That's dazed him! Panda looking to finish here. Owth is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Panda lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Po Panda! Po Panda is the new super heavyweight champion! A relieved looking Po Panda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
