The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manners tries to bum rush Uther with a series of wild strikes but Uther uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Manners uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Uther.

It looks like Franz Uther has been cut.
Franz Uther seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Manners looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Uther with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Manners seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Uther does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Manners is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Uther is just riding it out for now. Manners eventually gives up the hold.

Manners lands a left and a right that send Uther crashing to the mat, dazed. Manners thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
