Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robin Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvador Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Padilla comes to the cage accompanied by boom!!!. Cannon has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Salvador Cannon looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robin Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Salvador Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Padilla.
Cannon looks gassed!
Cannon throws a head kick but Padilla moves out of range.
Padilla misses the shot to the body.
Cannon throws a body kick that misses.
Padilla tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cannon was well out of range. Poor timing from Padilla.

Padilla scores with a takedown into Cannon's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Cannon keeping full guard, as Padilla tries to pass.
Padilla wants to control from the top but Cannon keeps moving.

Padilla postures up in Cannon's guard and throws a big left but Cannon blocks it.
Cannon wants to stand and escape but Padilla is having none of it.

Padilla wants to pass the guard but Cannon is keeping the position.
Cannon is looking to stand up but Padilla isn't so interested in that idea.
Padilla connects with a couple of short punches.
Padilla controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Padilla is looking to work some ground and pound but Cannon has wrist control.
Padilla wants to control from the top but Cannon keeps moving.

Padilla works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Padilla wants to control but Cannon is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Padilla is working for a kimura but Cannon is defending it quite comfortably.
Cannon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Padilla.
Padilla lands with a punch from half guard.
Padilla trying to mount his opponent but Cannon defends it.
Padilla is trying to control. Cannon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Padilla moves into full mount! Cannon won't be happy about that!
Padilla can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cannon is looking to escape.
Padilla scores with a couple of good head shots there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Padilla tries to control but Cannon wriggling away.
Padilla looking to finish Cannon with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cannon!


Cannon is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Padilla! Cannon is hurt baaadly! Padilla is firing away with more strikes - Cannon is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robin Padilla!
