Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valko Dragov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaspars Daugavins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragov's entrance music is Go to Sleep - Eminem, Obie Trice, & DMX. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Valko Dragov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaspars Daugavins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugavins with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Dragov shoots in for a double leg but Daugavins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Daugavins connects with a right hand. Dragov shakes it off.
Daugavins stuffs the takedown.
A lazy left from Daugavins finds it's target.

Dragov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Daugavins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dragov off and has taken his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daugavins is controlling the position but Dragov somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Dragov tries to get to full guard but Daugavins has control of the leg.

Daugavins is looking to take a break and control but Dragov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Daugavins is taking a breather. Dragov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dragov is looking for a sweep. Daugavins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Dragov is not content to let Daugavins control the position.

Dragov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dragov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dragov is trying to maintain the position but Daugavins is very close to passing his half guard.
Dragov is looking to improve his position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kaspars Daugavins wasn't active enough on the ground.
Dragov avoids a punch combination nicely.

Dragov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daugavins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dragov wants to control the pace but Daugavins is squirming around nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Daugavins is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Dragov drives through with a takedown into Daugavins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Dragov lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dragov.

Dragov is throwing strikes by Daugavins counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Daugavins regains half guard.

Dragov is trying to work for a kimura but Daugavins is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Valko Dragov will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Dragov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daugavins tries to avoid it but Dragov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daugavins to the ground. Daugavins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dragov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Daugavins to score with a decent uppercut.
Daugavins lands with an uppercut that bounces Dragov off the cage and back into range.
Daugavins steps in with a hook that catches Dragov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Daugavins follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dragov looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaspars Daugavins!
