And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shim Changmin!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathgrip avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big right from Changmin misses.
Deathgrip looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Changmin checks a low kick from Deathgrip.
Deathgrip misses with a jab, cross combination.
Deathgrip shoots in looking for a takedown but Changmin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Deathgrip's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Deathgrip is trying hard to land a takedown here. Changmin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Trapp Deathgrip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Changmin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Changmin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Changmin stuffs the takedown attempt from Deathgrip. Deathgrip gets slowly back to his feet.

Deathgrip fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Changmin manages to avoid it.

Deathgrip scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Deathgrip is looking for a kimura but Changmin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Deathgrip to get the leverage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Changmin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deathgrip. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
