0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Oliver! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Oliver is looking to reverse the position. Oliver can't do much from the bottom here. Diaz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Oliver is looking for a sweep. Diaz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diaz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oliver wants to control but Diaz postures up. Diaz tries for a kimura. Oliver is trying to maintain the position but Diaz is very close to passing his half guard. Oliver is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Oliver is trying to stand up here but Diaz is controlling him well. Oliver wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oliver shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Oliver moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Oliver tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.

Diaz jumps back into Oliver's guard. Oliver is working an open guard so Diaz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Diaz has his takedown stuffed and Oliver counters with a slapping leg kick. Oliver jabs at Diaz's body. Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Oliver trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Oliver is breathing heavily. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliver slips nicely into half guard. Diaz is staying active underneath Oliver, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Diaz wants to improve his position but Oliver is controlling well.
Diaz is pressing down on Oliver's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oliver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Oliver must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Oliver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Oliver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Oliver has passed into side control.

Oliver moves into range and clinches up with Diaz. Oliver tries to pull guard but Diaz holds him up against the ropes and eventually Oliver drops back down to his feet.

Oliver trying to control but Diaz is having none of it. Diaz is looking to improve his position but Oliver isn't that keen on the idea. The referee warns Diaz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Diaz regains half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Diaz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Diaz has his foot on Oliver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oliver works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Oliver's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diaz looking for a guillotine here but Oliver defends easily.
Oliver content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oliver manages to get himself to full guard.
Diaz passes Oliver's left leg - he's now in half guard. Diaz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Oliver is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
