Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauri Louhikko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Angel of Death . Louhikko has chosen Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louhikko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Uzi manages to avoid it.
Uzi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Louhikko looks to score with a jab to the body but Uzi is just out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Louhikko is trying to control Uzi's posture but Uzi avoids it.

Uzi thows a huge punch but Louhikko dodges it nicely.
Louhikko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Uzi is working away from the top position though.

Uzi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Uzi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Louhikko is not content to let Uzi control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Uzi in particular looking to stall.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Uzi is looking to take a break and control but Louhikko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Uzi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Louhikko has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Lauri Louhikko has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Uzi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Louhikko pulls his leg out and moves away.

Louhikko gets underhooks to prevent Uzi's takedown attempt.

Louhikko wants to get back to striking at distance but Uzi won't allow it.
Uzi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Louhikko after a bit of a struggle.

Uzi is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Louhikko is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Uzi is trying to drag Louhikko to the mat but Louhikko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Louhikko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Louhikko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Uzi closes the distance and clinches up with Louhikko, looking for a takedown. Uzi pushes Louhikko against the cage but Louhikko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Louhikko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Uzi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Louhikko.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lauri Louhikko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Uzi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Louhikko! Uzi is backing up but he can't get away as Louhikko lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Uzi and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lauri Louhikko! Lauri Louhikko retains his super heavyweight title!
An out of breath Lauri Louhikko thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
