The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Egle is defended easily by Washington.
Washington fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Egle on the side of the head.
Washington scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Egle fails with a takedown attempt.
Egle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Washington drops Egle with a beautiful combination! Egle stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Washington is looking for the KO!
It looks like Martins Egle has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Washington throws a body punch but Egle moves out of range.

Washington looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Egle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Washington paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Egle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Washington sprawls well. Washington wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Egle gets slowly back to his feet.

Egle throws a sloppy head kick and Washington moves out of range easily.
Egle is trying desperately to land a takedown but Washington is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Egle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Egle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Egle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Washington to score with a decent uppercut.

Egle dives in and grabs Washington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Washington pushes down on Egle's head and hops out.

Oooooh!!! Washington has knocked Egle down with a huge combo! Washington steps away and waves a wobbly Egle back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Washington finds Egle's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Egle flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Washington lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Egle will be OK.
