Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trent Punchy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Turbitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punchy comes into the arena with Trent From Punchy blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Punchy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Turbitt! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Punchy. Punchy throws a half hearted mid kick. Turbitt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Punchy on his heels. He'll look to pass Punchy's guard now, I'm sure. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Punchy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Turbitt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Turbitt throws a strike but Punchy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Turbitt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Punchy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Turbitt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Punchy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Punchy passes into half guard. Turbitt looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turbitt has his hands clasped together around Punchy's back. He's all about the action. Turbitt is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Punchy pulls his head out easily. Turbitt looking for subs from the bottom but Punchy mounts him! Turbitt working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turbitt regains half guard. Turbitt looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Turbitt looks gassed! Turbitt looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Turbitt looking for a kimura from the bottom but Punchy passes into side control! Punchy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turbitt keeps working. Turbitt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Punchy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Punchy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Turbitt's legs. Turbitt struggling a bit here. Punchy trying to control the position but Turbitt is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turbitt tries to improve position but can't. Punchy wants to control but Turbitt is keeping him busy.
We're going to have a standup here because Trent Punchy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Punchy missing with a left hand there. Turbitt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Punchy dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Punchy lands an overhand right. A jab lands there for Punchy. Punchy motions for Turbitt to come forward. Punchy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Trent Punchy will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Turbitt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Turbitt prevents Punchy from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turbitt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Punchy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Turbitt. Turbitt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punchy is just riding it out for now. Turbitt eventually gives up the hold. Punchy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Punchy.

Turbitt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Punchy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Turbitt has Punchy in his guard. Sam Turbitt has got the better of the ground game so far. Turbitt keeping moving, preventing Punchy from controlling successfully. Turbitt keeping full guard, as Punchy tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turbitt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Punchy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Turbitt keeping moving, preventing Punchy from controlling successfully. Turbitt throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Punchy trying to control the position from guard on top but Turbitt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turbitt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Punchy defends well. Punchy wants to control from the top but Turbitt keeps moving. Turbitt looking for a guillotine here but Punchy defends easily.
Turbitt is breathing heavily. Turbitt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Punchy is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turbitt is looking for a triangle but Punchy pushes his legs off easily.
Turbitt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Punchy is one step ahead there. Turbitt looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Punchy passes into half guard.
Punchy is trying to control the action in half guard but Turbitt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Turbitt keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Turbitt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Punchy cracks the inside of Turbitt's front leg. Punchy throws a head kick but Turbitt moves out of range.

It looks like Sam Turbitt has been cut. Punchy misses with a straight right. Turbitt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Punchy. Punchy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Punchy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Turbitt circles away quickly and effectively. Punchy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Turbitt avoids the head kick by Punchy.
Turbitt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Punchy dodges the ground and pound from Turbitt. Turbitt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Punchy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punchy wants to control but Turbitt postures up. Turbitt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Punchy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Turbitt goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Punchy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Turbitt but great work by Punchy. Turbitt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punchy cracks Turbitt with a big right hand but Turbitt just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Punchy gets to mount! Turbitt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Turbitt tries to get back to half guard but can't. Punchy trying to control but Turbitt is having none of it. Punchy avoids the attempt from Turbitt to control. Punchy trying to control but Turbitt is having none of it. Turbitt can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turbitt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Punchy trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Trent Punchy. I think Punchy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
