Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Droop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Ernst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, George Droop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Ernst!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Droop tests Ernst's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ernst throws a poor cross that misses
and Droop counters with a series of strikes. Ernst will be more careful next time no doubt.
Droop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Droop showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ernst.
Ernst takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ernst shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Droop as he jumps to the side.
Ernst keeps the fight on the outside.
Droop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ernst on the side of the head.
Ernst showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Droop.
Ernst takes a swing at Droop's ribcage but misses.
Ernst lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like George Droop has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ernst ducks under a wild hook from Droop.
Droop cracks Ernst with an open hand slap.
Ernst takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ernst gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Droop tries to keep at a distance but Ernst has taken the fight into the clinch.
Droop being controlled against the ropes.
Droop tries a body shot but Ernst blocks it.
Ernst taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Droop is trying to maintain a safe position but Ernst gets an underhook and turns Droop into the ropes.
Droop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Droop throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Droop swings wildly with an uppercut but Ernst uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ernst prevents a body shot from Droop.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ernst trying to control the position but instead, Droop has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ernst into the ropes.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Droop.
Ernst lands a good knee to the midsection. Droop won't want to take too many of those.
Droop lands a damaging elbow.
Ernst looking to slow down the pace here.
Droop working aggressively here.
Droop is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Droop throws a punch but it's blocked by Ernst.
Droop lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Tim Ernst has been cut.
Droop throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ernsts head.
Droop is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Droop content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ernst taking a breather.
Droop lands a hook that snaps the head of Ernst backwards.
A shot in the inside from Droop.
Droop looking to stall.

Ernst breaks the clinch.
A big left from Ernst misses.
Ernst misses with a combination
enabling Droop to counter with a crisp jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ernst, as that shot connected.
Ernst changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Droop tries to avoid it but Ernst manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Droop to the ground. Droop escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Droop. Those never looked like landing.
Ernst throws a hook but Droop avoids it easily.
Ernst throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Droop scores with a nice strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Droop lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ernst at a distance.
Ernst swings widly with a right hand
and Droop counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


Ernst is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ernst shoots in and drives through. Droop sprawls well.
Ernst is still on wobbly legs! Can Droop finish him?
George Droop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Ernst.
Ernst takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Droop lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Ernst can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Droop and Ernst drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Droop.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Droop!
George Droop decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
