Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maykel Awang Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones Jr. Must have forgot.. Awang Bang is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2pac Changes. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John throws a sloppy head kick and Awang Bang moves out of range easily.
Awang Bang is looking to slow John down with leg kicks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Awang Bang goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now John is on top in guard.
Awang Bang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. John gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John stands up over Awang Bang, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Awang Bang has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but John can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Big John retains his middleweight title!
A relieved looking Big John thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
