The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seagal changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oni looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Seagal goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Oni has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Seagal but great work by Oni.
Oni thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oni throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Seagal works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Oni is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Seagal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Seagal has escaped and now he's on top!

Oni drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Seagal manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Oni has Seagal in his guard.

Seagal shoots in and gets a takedown into Oni's guard.
Oni lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Seagal!
Seagal is wriggling around trying to escape.
Oni misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Oni manages to get his head free but now Seagal has transitioned to an armbar! Oni grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Seagal! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
