Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Buchan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Buchan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Buchan! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Buchan. Buchan scores with a three punch combo!
Buchan wants to clinch. Moore throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moore. Jason Buchan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moore takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Buchan misses with a head kick.
Buchan clinches with his opponent.
Buchan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moore tries to keep at a distance but Buchan has taken the fight into the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Buchan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buchan tries to break the clinch but Moore is controlling the position. Buchan breaks the clinch.
Buchan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moore circles away. Moore tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Buchan was well out of range. Poor timing from Moore. Buchan clinches with his opponent.
Moore could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Moore taking a breather. Buchan wants to take the fight to the mat but Moore manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Moore trying to control the position but instead, Buchan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Moore into the cage. Moore is looking to take this one to the mat. Moore tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buchan smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buchan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Moore is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buchan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Moore swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Buchan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sloppy strikes from Moore. Those never looked like landing. Buchan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moore counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Buchan! This has been an exciting period of action! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Moore lands a heavy elbow. Moore looking to ground and pound but Buchan is blocking nicely. Buchan is desperately trying to improve his position but Moore has a good base and remains in mount. Moore with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore landing punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buchan is looking to get to half guard. Moore looking to finish Buchan with some ground and pound. This is bad for Buchan! Buchan is trying desperately to improve position. Moore is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Buchan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Buchan! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moore wants to get back to his feet but Buchan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buchan won't allow Moore to sweep him here. Moore is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Buchan postures up.
Moore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Buchan's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Moore wants to control from the top but Buchan keeps moving. Buchan keeping full guard, as Moore tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Josh Moore will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Moore tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Buchan manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Buchan is defending well against a takedown attempt. Buchan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Moore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Buchan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Moore keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Buchan's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore works a leg free and moves into half guard. Moore sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Buchan defending well though. Moore moves nicely into side control. Moore tries for a kimura but Buchan is defending well. Josh Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Moore is looking to take a break and control but Buchan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sloppy strikes there by Moore.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore working the ground and pound from side control. Moore just content to control the position. Moore working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Moore slows the pace down. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Buchan can do anything to dispel that myth. Moore grinds an elbow into Buchan's temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moore trying to control the position but Buchan is working away. Moore landing a few strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Buchan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Moore gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Buchan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Moore lets go of the hold and Buchan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josh Moore!
