Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Straight Flush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Steel! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Straight Flush has been cut. Flush scores a takedown into full mount! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Steel really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Flush trying to control but Steel is having none of it. Flush has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Steel's face.
Flush lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Steel hang on? Flush cracks Steel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steel flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Flush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Flush cracks Steel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Flush controlling from mount. Flush avoids the attempt from Steel to control. Flush putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Flush blocks Steel's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flush content just to control the position here. Flush trying to control but Steel is having none of it. Steel is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Steel in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Steel wants to control but Flush is having none of it. Flush working away from the top, dropping strikes. Flush lands a nice shot to the head. Flush in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Flush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Flush lands a big shot there that rocks Steel but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steel swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Flush landing shots from mount. Steel tries to lock up and control but Flush gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flush with shots to the head and body - Steel looks very uncomfortable down there. Flush controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel tries to reverse the position but Flush maintains control. Flush landing strikes from the mount and Steel is in trouble! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A nice elbow there by Flush. Steel is wriggling around trying to escape.

Flush cracks Steel with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Straight Flush! Straight Flush decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
