Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saku Thirtynine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Welcome to the Jungle. The crowd seem to be enjoying Thirtynine's choice of entrance music: Speed 2 Remix by Tetsuya Komura . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thirtynine closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cruz's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thirtynine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Thirtynine closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cruz did well to prevent Thirtynine getting side control.
Thirtynine looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cruz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thirtynine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cruz somewhat.

Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thirtynine throws a series of punches but Cruz avoids them all with ease.
Thirtynine takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cruz thuds his shin into the meat of Thirtynine's side.
Cruz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thirtynine.
Thirtynine slips a jab and a cross from Cruz.
Thirtynine dives in and grabs Cruz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cruz pushes down on Thirtynine's head and hops out.
Kale Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saku Thirtynine.
Thirtynine tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saku Thirtynine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Cruz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cruz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thirtynine slips a straight right by Cruz.

Cruz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thirtynine doesn't seem bothered though.

Thirtynine chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cruz can pounce on him.

Thirtynine is still on wobbly legs! Can Cruz finish him?
Cruz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Thirtynine. Thirtynine circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Thirtynine is aggressively charging in as Cruz backs up avoiding any damage. Cruz tosses out a jab and Thirtynine runs right into it face first! Thirtynine is out cold! Cruz dropped down on all fours and is barking in Thirtynine's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Kale Cruz decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
