Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lane Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Jansen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lane Riley! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jansen tries to clinch but Riley moves out of range. Riley steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jansen. That one must have hurt. Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Jansen, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Jansen against the cage but Jansen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fight stays on the outside here - Riley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jansen throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely. Jansen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jansen takes the fight into the clinch. Riley stalling in the clinch but Jansen improves position. Riley looking for a takedown. Riley should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jansen breaks the clinch.
Jansen clinches up with Riley and pushes him back against the cage. Jansen pulls Riley into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jansen wants to sweep but no luck. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Riley has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley throws a big right hand that misses. Riley stands up from Jansen's guard - Riley perhaps looking for a knockout. Jansen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Riley tries to circle away but Jansen has him pinned against the cage. Riley tries to pull guard but Jansen forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ron Jansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lane Riley. Jansen decides to pull guard. Riley lands a couple of decent looking shots. Riley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jansen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Riley wants to stand but Jansen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jansen looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Riley passes into side control.
Jansen is looking for a sweep. Riley trying to control the action but Jansen is working from the bottom. Jansen is trying to improve his position. Riley in the domination position with Jansen hanging on. Jansen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jansen tries to get out of the position. This has been an exciting period of action! The ground and pound from Riley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jansen struggling a bit here. Jansen tries to buck Riley off but Riley is having none of it. Jansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riley on the ground. Riley in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jansen struggling a bit here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jansen sneaks back into half guard. Riley is taking a breather. Jansen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen is trying to control but can't.
Jansen wants to improve his position but Riley is controlling well.
Jansen is trying to stand up here but Riley is controlling him well. Riley missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jansen wants to control but Riley is keeping busy.
Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jansen is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Jansen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jansen's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jansen duly obliges. Jansen moves into range and clinches up with Riley. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jansen obliges. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Riley pulls guard effortlessly. Riley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jansen defends well. Riley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jansen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jansen has managed to get both his arms back between Riley's legs - danger averted. Jansen postures up.
Riley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jansen wants to hold on but Riley pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jansen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Riley there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Riley controlling the pace for now. Riley throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Riley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Riley thowing shots but they're missing. Jansen is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Jansen as Riley shoots in. Jansen moves into the clinch. Riley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jansen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Riley regains guard.
Riley wants to stand and escape but Jansen is having none of it. Riley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Riley is breathing heavily. Jansen's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Riley stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jansen. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jansen digs a good hook to Riley's body.
Jansen works Riley's body with a nice hook. Jansen lands with a nice combination. Riley backs away looking to recover. Jansen stuffs the takedown attempt from Riley. Riley gets slowly back to his feet. Danga de danga de dang - Jansen scores with a four punch combination! Jansen shoots in for a takedown but Riley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jansen looks to land a combination. Riley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Riley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Riley there as he acknowledges the shot. Riley fails in his attempt to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ron Jansen will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jansen sprawls well. Jansen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet. Jansen throws a nice head kick!
Sloppy strikes from Jansen. Those never looked like landing. Jansen scoring well with a low kick there.
Riley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jansen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riley somewhat. Jansen looks to land a combination but Riley avoids it well. Jansen looks for a takedown but Riley sprawls well. Jansen with a lazy takedown attempt and Riley counters with a good low kick that Jansen was not able to check. Ron Jansen is winning the standup battle so far. Jansen drives through and clinches with Riley against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jansen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Riley's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley is looking for a takedown. Ron Jansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lane Riley. Jansen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riley is trying to maintain the position but Jansen is very close to passing his half guard. Jansen content to control rather than advance. Jansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jansen thows a huge punch but Riley dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley trying to control but Jansen postures up.
Riley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jansen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Riley is controlling Jansen's trapped leg to prevent Jansen from advancing to side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Riley is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lane Riley. Riley tries to clinch up. Jansen takes the fight into the clinch. The referee calls for Jansen to work.
Riley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ron Jansen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jansen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Riley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jansen is fending him off so far but Riley persists. Nope, Jansen circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by Jansen which made him look bad. Riley walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jansen gets a clinch. Jansen breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen shoots for a takedown but Riley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Riley has a takedown stuffed. Riley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. No joy there for Jansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Riley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ron Jansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A nice combination there by Jansen.
Ron Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jansen rushes Riley and presses him up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riley goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jansen prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight! Ron Jansen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jansen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
