Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Vernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes into the arena with Tango blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vernon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Torres keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Torres throws a head kick that misses.
Vernon tries to bum rush Torres with a series of wild strikes but Torres uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vernon scores with a push kick.
Torres misses with a body kick.
Torres fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vernon.
Vernon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Torres throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Vernon counters with a head kick.
Vernon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Torres. Torres obviously looking to wear him down.
Torres connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
