Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Reno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Nolan!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nolan scores with the left hand. Reno knows he should have avoided that one.
Nolan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reno moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nolan manages to avoid it.
Nolan is looking to land body kicks.
John Nolan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nolan looks to land a combination but Reno avoids it well.
Reno missing with a left hand there. Nolan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nolan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nolan punishes Reno's body with a nice straight punch.
Reno throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nolan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Reno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nolan moves away.
Reno on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Reno takes one to the side of the head.
Nolan misses with a combination

and Reno counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nolan's guard now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Nolan pushes Reno off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Nolan.


Reno is rocked!
Nolan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oh Reno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reno is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nolan dances in with a quick combination. Reno is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nolan snaps Reno's head back. Reno stumbles backwards against the cage. Nolan steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Reno's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Reno just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Nolan!
John Nolan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
