Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Drunk Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sug Knight!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a body kick.
Knight slips under a jab.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Jones lands a big head kick that sends Knight tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Knight back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Sug Knight has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knight on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones. Jones obviously looking to wear him down.
A lazy body kick from Jones
and Knight counters with a body kick.
Jones checks a low kick from Knight.
Knight throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones misses the body punch
and Knight counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee.
Knight looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Knight throws a sloppy body shot
and Jones counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Jones looks at the referee who does nothing so Jones lands a crushing right that sends Knight to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drunk Jones!
During a confident post fight interview, Drunk Jones thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
