Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kauno Kaalikorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pyle's choice of entrance music: The Marines' Hymn. Gomer Pyle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyle closes the distance and pushes Kaalikorva back into the cage.
Kaalikorva wants the takedown. Pyle is fighting it off but Kaalikorva persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pyle's guard against the cage.
Pyle controls Kaalikorva momentarily but Kaalikorva frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaalikorva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kaalikorva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pyle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kaalikorva has Pyle in his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kaalikorva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pyle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kaalikorva has his foot on Pyle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pyle works his way back into a safe position though.

Pyle stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Kaalikorva has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Pyle manages to get his head free but now Kaalikorva has transitioned to an armbar! Pyle grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kaalikorva! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
