Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Sieve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Sieve!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sieve misses with a takedown
and Edgar counters with a left to the body.
Edgar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sieve.

Edgar has closed the distance and engaged Sieve in a clinch.
Sieve is trying to stall.

Sieve has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Edgar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Edgar trying to control but not successfully.
Edgar covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Edgar trying to control the position but Sieve manages to sink in the hooks.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Edgar turns into Sieve and is now in his guard.
Sieve is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Edgar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sieve swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Edgar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sieve is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Edgar is controlling him.
Sieve looking for a sweep. Not yet Sieve, not yet.

Edgar is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sieve has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Edgar is looking to defend but Sieve has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Edgar! Sieve pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Edgar taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Cody Sieve! Cody Sieve retains his featherweight title!
After the fight, Cody Sieve was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
