Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ricci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Ricci has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Ricci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taylor Harrison! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricci takes the fight into the clinch. Ricci looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Harrison manages to break the clinch.
Harrison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ricci tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Harrison has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ricci is trying to keep an underhook but Harrison manages to get the takedown into half guard. Harrison wants to stand up but Ricci has a hold of him and won't allow it. Ricci looking for submissions off his back. Harrison stands up from half guard. Harrison moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Harrison decides to stand up. Harrison scores with a one two! Ricci had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Harrison moves into range and clinches up with Ricci. Harrison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Harrison connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Taylor Harrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Harrison has closed the distance and engaged Ricci in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harrison lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Ricci is trying to get back to full guard. Harrison wants to stand but Ricci has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ricci looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ricci actively working from the bottom here. It looks like Harrison is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ricci really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Harrison gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Taylor Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harrison misses with the combination.
Harrison lands a nice hook to Ricci's body. Ricci takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Harrison moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ricci takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Harrison throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Harrison has Ricci up against the cage in a clinch.
Ricci changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harrison fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Harrison thumps Ricci with a low kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harrison throws a head kick that Ricci semi-blocks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Harrison dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Harrison pushes Ricci up against the cage in a clinch. Harrison successfully pulls guard.
Harrison wants to stand but Ricci is controlling the position. Ricci trying to control but Harrison is working from the bottom. Ricci prevents Harrison from getting back to his feet. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ricci is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Mike Ricci has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Harrison throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Harrison rushes Ricci and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Harrison gets control of Ricci's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harrison will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ricci wants to control from the top but Harrison keeps moving. Harrison wants to get back to his feet but Ricci is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ricci sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Harrison's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ricci is looking for a kimura here.
Ricci stops Harrison from getting back to his feet.
Harrison is looking to get back to is feet but Ricci passes into side control.
Harrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ricci. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ricci trying to control the action but Harrison is working from the bottom. Ricci thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harrison defending against the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ricci controlling the position. Ricci looking to control but instead Harrison has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Ricci is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harrison is just riding it out for now. Ricci eventually gives up the hold. Ricci prevents Harrison from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ricci is working for a kimura but Harrison is defending it quite comfortably.
Ricci looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harrison kicks off Ricci and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Ricci will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Harrison gets a clinch. Ricci tries to pull guard but Harrison forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ricci tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Harrison.
It looks like Mike Ricci has been cut. Harrison manages to break the clinch.
A lazy left from Harrison finds it's target. Harrison moves into the clinch. Harrison has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ricci is trying to keep an underhook but Harrison manages to get the takedown into half guard. Harrison gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Harrison gets a clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Harrison has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Harrison scores with a punch to the head. Harrison lands a high kick!
Ricci sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Mike Ricci is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Harrison. Ricci shrugs it off though. Harrison throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ricci. Harrison closes the distance and pushes Ricci back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harrison is struggling to control the position. Harrison wants the takedown. Ricci is fighting it off but Harrison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ricci's guard against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ricci is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harrison defends well. Harrison has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ricci is proving hard to escape from. Ricci looking for a triangle here. Harrison is fighting it but it looks tight! Ricci pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Harrison is tapping out - this one is all over!
