Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smokey Russell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Josh Rick looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rick closes the distance and pushes Russell back into the cage.
Rick misses with some punches.

Rick is breathing heavily.
Russell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rick after a bit of a struggle.
Russell gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Russell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rick knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Russell is working for a submission of some sort.

Russell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Russell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rick has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
