Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kuma Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Materson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by The Sound of Silence. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Materson tries to keep at a distance but Nelson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nelson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Materson blocks it with crossed arms.
Nelson stops a takedown attempt from Materson.
Nelson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Nelson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Materson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nelson lands with a short shot to the head.

Materson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Materson misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Nelson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Materson backwards.

Materson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nelson throws a hook but Materson blocks it.
Nelson is looking to clinch but Materson is avoiding it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nelson. Materson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Materson tries for a takedown but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kuma Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Materson.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Materson.

Nelson closes the distance and clinches.

Materson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nelson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nelson is pressed up against the cage. Materson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nelson down to the mat. Nelson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Nelson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Materson's knee momentarily.

Nelson creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Materson with a big uppercut! Materson tries to clinch up but Nelson pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Materson to the mat! Materson covers up and Nelson unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
