20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Blair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blair throws a poor cross that misses
and Anstey counters with a takedown into side control. Anstey looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Blair is looking to regain half guard here but Anstey keeps moving and retains side control. Anstey swings around for an armbar but Blair sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anstey's guard. Anstey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Anstey is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Anstey is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Anstey is working for a kimura but Blair is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Blair defends it well. Anstey seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Blair tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anstey wants to pass the guard but Blair is keeping the position. Blair tries to land a sweep but no joy. Blair has his hands on Anstey's head, controlling the position. Blair has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Anstey off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Anstey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blair pinned against the cage. Blair gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Blair swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blair jabs at Anstey's body. Blair thuds a left hand into Anstey's body. Hank Blair is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Anstey looks gassed! Anstey on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A combination from Blair does no damage. The fighters circle momentarily. Blair darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Bunny Anstey has been cut. Blair getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Anstey doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Anstey ducks straight into an uppercut from Blair and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Anstey manages to regain guard straight away.
Anstey is rocked! Blair content to stall in guard here. Anstey is still in real trouble! Can Blair finish him? Blair stands up from guard. Let's bang! Anstey seems to have recovered his senses. Blair digs a good body shot into Anstey's ribs. Blair lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Anstey falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hank Blair! Hank Blair decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
