Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Busy Signal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carpet Chair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Signal comes to the cage accompanied by Busy Signal - Smoke Some High Grade. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Busy Signal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carpet Chair!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Signal's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chair under the eye.
Signal shoots in but no luck this time.

Signal is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chair's half guard.
Chair trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Signal manages to pass to mount!
BOOM! Signal connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chair sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Signal works his way into side control.
Signal working the ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Signal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Signal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chair is not content to let Signal control the position.

Chair struggling a bit here.
Signal tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chair's legs.
Chair tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Signal trying to control the action but Chair is working from the bottom.

Chair struggling a bit here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Signal tries to advance to mount but Chair denies him.
Chair is trying to improve his position.
Signal lands some shots froms side control.
Signal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chair keeps working.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Signal is staying tight to Chair's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Chair trying to control but Signal flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Chair manages to reverse the position and now he's in Signal's guard. Nice work there by Chair.
Signal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Signal lands a nice shot to the head.
Signal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chair looks a forlorn figure.
Chair is desperately trying to improve his position but Signal has a good base and remains in mount.
Chair is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Signal landing strikes, looking to finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee warns Chair that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Signal avoids the attempt from Chair to control.
Signal tries to control but Chair wriggling away.
Chair is looking to get to half guard.
Signal lands a big shot there that rocks Chair but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Signal cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


It looks like Carpet Chair has been cut.
Signal content just to control the position here.
Chair really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Busy Signal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carpet Chair's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Signal misses with a takedown
and Chair counters with a low kick, right behind Signal 's knee.

Chair scores with a takedown into Signal's guard.
Chair is looking to work some ground and pound but Signal has wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Signal is on top in guard.
Chair wants to sweep here but Signal controlling him for the moment.
Signal wants to control from the top but Chair keeps moving.
Signal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chair works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Signal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chair has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Signal has managed to get both his arms back between Chair's legs - danger averted.

Signal pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chair is keeping the position for now.
Signal trying to control but Chair is working from the bottom.
Signal engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Signal looking to sit in guard and control but Chair gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Signal controls Chair momentarily but Chair frees himself.
Signal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chair.

Chair won't allow Signal to sweep him here.
Signal keeping moving, preventing Chair from controlling successfully.
Signal looking for a sweep. Not yet Signal, not yet.

Signal working for a triangle but Chair defends it easily.
Chair advances to half guard.
Signal moves into full guard.
Chair looking to sit in guard and control but Signal gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Signal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Signal trying to control but Chair is working from the bottom.
Chair bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Signal's guard.

Signal throws his legs up looking for a submission but Chair uses it to pass to side control.
Signal is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chair off and has taken his back!
Chair rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Signal is working for a kimura but Chair is defending it quite comfortably.
Busy Signal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Signal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chair sees it coming and defends easily.

Chair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chair makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chair.
Chair keeping moving, preventing Signal from controlling successfully.
Signal landing with the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Signal landing some decent shots from guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Carpet Chair's cut.
That's time! Signal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


No luck for Signal with that takedown attempt.
Chair getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Chair walks into a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Signal.
Signal fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Busy Signal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A slow jab from Chair misses its intended target.
Chair throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chair lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chair stuffs the takedown.
A nice leg kick lands there from Chair.
Chair displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Signal.
Signal shoots in looking for a takedown but Chair manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Signal's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Carpet Chair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Signal closes the distance and clinches up with Chair, looking for a takedown. Signal pushes Chair against the cage but Chair circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chair throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Signal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chair's waist but Chair gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Signal off to one side.

Signal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chair to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Signal is on top in guard.
Signal pushes down on Chair's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chair tries to kick Signal off but Signal keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Signal slows the pace down in half guard.
Signal working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carpet Chair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Signal is nestled in close to Chair, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Chair is looking to improve his position.
Chair gets back to full guard.
Signal wants to control from the top but Chair keeps moving.
Signal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Signal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Signal trying to control but Chair is working from the bottom.
Signal with a flurry of punches that miss.

Chair keeping moving, preventing Signal from controlling successfully.
Signal throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Signal lands a couple of digs.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Signal's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Signal content to stall in guard here.
Signal stopping the sweep attempt from Chair.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Signal tries to free his leg and advance position but Chair is retaining full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Busy Signal showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Signal, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Busy Signal thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
