Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny York!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York lands a right hook to the body.

Steel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming York to the mat! York manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Steel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but York is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steel wants to get up but he can't break York's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Steel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
York is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
York sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
York is trying to stand.

York looking for submissions off his back.
York looks like he's trying to stand up.
Steel throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

York is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Steel pulls his head out easily.
York is staying active underneath Steel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Steel decides to stand up.
A combination from Steel does no damage.
York is looking to slow Steel down with leg kicks.
Steel tries to clinch but York moves out of range.
Steel is breathing heavily.
York throws a front kick that sends Steel stumbling back into the cage.
A nice inside leg kick there by York. That's going to slow Steel down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
York throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.
Steel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
York stuns Steel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Some wild striking there from York.
Steel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
York connects with a crisp jab.

York tries to clinch up.
Nice body punch from York.
Steel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Steel takes one to the side of the head.
York tries to clinch but Steel is having none of it.
Jab, jab by York - just one landing.
York scores with a head kick.


Steel is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
York cracks the inside of Steel's front leg.
Oh Steel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
York cracks Steel with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
