The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firestone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Starks pinned against the cage. Starks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Firestone thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Firestone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Firestone shoots in looking for a takedown but Starks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Firestone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jonny Starks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Horrible takedown by Firestone or perhaps it was just good defense by Starks which made him look bad.
