Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Woo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Silva! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Woo is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Woo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silva connects with a nice short shot to Woo's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woo looking for subs from the bottom but Silva mounts him! Woo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Woo is working hard here to advance position. Silva with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva prevents Woo from getting the reversal. Poor strikes thrown by Silva there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Woo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Woo and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Woo tries to improve position but can't. Silva works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Woo is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Woo is trying to get back to half guard. Woo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Woo looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Woo kicks Silva off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woo misses with a double jab.
Woo tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range. Woo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Woo fails to land the takedown. Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Woo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Woo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Woo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Woo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Woo is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva won't allow Woo to sweep him here. Silva throws a big elbow that misses. Carlos Silva dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Woo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Woo tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva. Silva advances position into side control! Woo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well. Woo is looking for a sweep. Silva working the body and head with strikes. Woo can't do much from the bottom here. Woo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Woo is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well. Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Woo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Woo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva with the ground and pound from mount. Silva raining down shots from the mount! Woo is desperately trying to improve his position but Silva has a good base and remains in mount. BOOM! Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Woo is trying desperately to improve position. Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Woo is surviving well by controlling Silva's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woo is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea. Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Woo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Woo regains half guard. Woo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Carlos Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woo has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Silva working over Woo with some ground and pound. Woo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Woo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Silva. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Woo on that attempt. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Woo tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Woo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Woo scores with a takedown into Silva's guard. Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Woo stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Woo.
Woo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Woo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Silva regains half guard there - taking advantage of Woo's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Silva wants to improve his position but Woo is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva actively working from the bottom here. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Woo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well. Woo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Woo is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Woo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Woo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well. Silva regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Woo.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Woo showed his dominance in that final round. I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Carlos Silva! Carlos Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
