Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robbie McStar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lath Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy has chosen Go Ninja-Vanilla Ice as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStar has his takedown stuffed
and Hoy counters with a left and a right that stings McStar.
McStar shoots in looking for a takedown but Hoy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McStar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hoy misses with a lunging right hand

and McStar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hoy's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hoy has his foot on McStar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McStar works his way back into a safe position though.

Hoy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McStar defends it easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McStar connects with a nice short shot to Hoy's temple.

McStar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hoy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
