Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Makosa Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Yamazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michinoku comes to the cage accompanied by Primavera by Ludovico Einaudi. Yamazaki has chosen Bounce With Me as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makosa Michinoku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Yamazaki! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michinoku changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yamazaki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yamazaki can do anything to dispel that myth. Michinoku lands an elbow. Yamazaki wants to get back to his feet but Michinoku drags him back down. Yamazaki is trying to get back to half guard. Yamazaki on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Yamazaki trying to remain calm as Michinoku controls from the top position. Michinoku wants to control but Yamazaki is keeping him busy. Michinoku landing a few strikes. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Michinoku is looking to take a break and control but Yamazaki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Michinoku misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michinoku moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Michinoku wants to control but Yamazaki is keeping him busy. Yamazaki is trying to escape the position but Michinoku is controlling the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Makosa Michinoku just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Michinoku shoots for a double leg takedown but Yamazaki sprawls well. He's pushed Michinoku's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Michinoku fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Michinoku shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Makosa Michinoku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yamazaki tries to clinch there but Michinoku circles away.
Michinoku misses with a looping left. Michinoku misses with a straight right. Michinoku misses with an uppercut. Yamazaki saw that one coming. Michinoku scores a takedown into full mount! Michinoku working the ground and pound effectively.
Michinoku working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Michinoku swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Yamazaki is now in Michinoku's guard. A big mistake from Michinoku there, giving up the dominant position! Michinoku is breathing heavily. Michinoku is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamazaki tries to stand but Michinoku is controlling from the bottom. Michinoku manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yamazaki manages to get himself to full guard.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Michinoku won't allow Yamazaki to get back to his feet. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Michinoku won't allow Yamazaki to sweep him here. Michinoku loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Michinoku trying to control but Yamazaki is working from the bottom. Michinoku stops Yamazaki from standing up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Michinoku misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Michinoku will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Michinoku shoots in for a double leg but Yamazaki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Michinoku moves in looking to clinch but Yamazaki pushes him off. Michinoku takes one to the chin there. Yamazaki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Makosa Michinoku dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's going to take a lot out of him. Michinoku loads up on a big right hand but Yamazaki slips the punch. Michinoku chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yamazaki can pounce on him.

Yamazaki kicks Michinoku off and gets to his feet. Michinoku thows a left - swing and a miss! Michinoku will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Michinoku misses with a hook. Yamazaki ducked under it nicely. Michinoku wants to clinch but Yamazaki slips to the side and Yamazaki counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Michinoku is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Yamazaki gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Yamazaki with a knee to the head.

Yamazaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Michinoku has his takedown stuffed and Yamazaki counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Michinoku is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Ryo Yamazaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Michinoku is landing with some decent strikes but Yamazaki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Michinoku lands a big shot there that rocks Yamazaki but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Michinoku tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Michinoku is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Yamazaki has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Yamazaki! Yamazaki has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Michinoku is proving hard to escape from.
And that's the end of the fight! Makosa Michinoku showed his dominance in that final round. I think Michinoku has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
