Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Maister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maister has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Dwayne Maister looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anderson Spider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dwayne Maister!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Maister misses
and Maister takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Maister looks gassed!
Spider is looking to slow Maister down with leg kicks.
Maister has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maister there as he acknowledges the shot.
Maister tries to close the distance and clinch but Spider swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spider defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maister.
Spider lands with a shot to the body.
Maister takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Maister has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Spider scores with a jab to the head.
Maister takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Danga de danga de dang - Spider scores with a four punch combination!
Spider scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Spider.
Spider chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Spider lands a head kick. Maister smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Spider looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Spider jabs Maister right on the nose. Maister blinks but takes it well.
A nice inside leg kick there by Spider. That's going to slow Maister down.
Spider cracks Maister with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Spider will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Spider bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Maister's head.
Spider catches Maister with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A nice leg kick lands there from Spider.

Spider scores with a one two! Maister had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Maister dodges the punch combination from Spider.
Spider fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Maister misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spider lands a high kick!
Maister throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Maister shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maister decides to stand up.
Maister stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Spider.
Maister scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Spider is trying to improve his position.
Maister stands up.
Maister fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spider sprawls well initially but Maister persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spider looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Maister pushes past his half guard into mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spider tries to hold on but Maister pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Maister cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Maister lands a heavy elbow.
Maister looking to finish Spider with some ground and pound. This is bad for Spider!
Maister landing strikes from the mount.
Spider is trying to escape the mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maister trying to control but Spider is having none of it.
Spider wants to control but Maister is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Spider will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Maister rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spider moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Spider shoots in looking for a takedown but Maister manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spider's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Spider swinging wildly here.
Maister throws a head kick but Spider moves out of range.
Spider shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maister as he avoids it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Spider connects with a high kick.
Spider works Maister's body with a nice hook.
A head kick by Maister misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Spider bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Spider connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Maister's hands.
Spider misses with an uppercut. Maister saw that one coming.
Maister misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maister takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Maister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Maister creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spider sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Spider sneaks back into half guard.
Maister stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Maister gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maister is posturing up here but Spider has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Maister tries to roll out but it's too tight and Maister has to tap! Slick submission there by Spider!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anderson Spider!
