Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Abadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Hustlin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Abadi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Jackson! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abadi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Abadi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts. Nice sprawl there from Abadi as Jackson shoots in. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson. Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Abadi is defending well. Abadi manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Abadi is controlling the pace.
Abadi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abadi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working. Abadi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson is trying to stand up here but Abadi is controlling him well. Abadi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Abadi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson pushes Abadi off but Abadi dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Abadi is controlling him well. A lull in the action here. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abadi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Abadi works to advance to full mount. Jackson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Jackson looks gassed! Abadi with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Shawn Jackson has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Abadi wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Abadi looking to finish with strikes here!
Abadi looking to control and managing it successfully. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Abadi's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Abadi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
You get the feeling that Jackson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abadi looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Abadi looking to control and managing it successfully. Abadi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Abadi thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Abadi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abadi has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Abadi looking to control but Jackson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abadi looking to control and managing it successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joel Abadi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shawn Jackson's cut. That's time! Abadi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jackson checks a low kick from Abadi. Abadi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Abadi. A big head kick from Abadi and Jackson is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Jackson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abadi is pushing down on Jackson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jackson is fighting to maintain full guard but Abadi has managed to sneak the leg through. Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Abadi finish him? Abadi lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Jackson quite badly. Jackson pulls Abadi in close trying to recover. Abadi postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Jackson on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Jackson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joel Abadi! Joel Abadi retains his heavyweight title!
