Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jet Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norm Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Ling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norm Kong! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ling is fending him off so far but Kong persists. Nope, Ling circles away and we're back to standing. Kong fails to land the takedown. Kong throws a head kick that misses. Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Ling which made him look bad. Jet Ling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Norm Kong. Kong shoots for a double leg takedown but Ling sprawls well. He's pushed Kong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ling scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ling blocks the strikes from Kong.
Kong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kong. Ling passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ling cracks Kong with a big right hand but Kong just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kong can do anything to dispel that myth. Ling is chipping away with strikes.
Ling is putting a hurting on Kong here, landing some big shots from side control.
Kong is rocked! Ling looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kong is still in real trouble! Can Ling finish him? Ling has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A lull in the action here as Ling stalls from top position. Kong seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong tries to improve position but can't. Ling is looking to take a break and control but Kong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kong takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kong is looking for a sweep. Kong looks gassed! Ling lands some shots froms side control. Kong is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kong takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ling scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kong to see if he's OK. Ling lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ling in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Kong looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Ling turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jet Ling!
