PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bocco Badz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Badz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is e-dubble - Be A King. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bocco Badz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Le!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badz tries to clinch up.

Le closes the distance and clinches.

Le has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Badz regains guard immediately.
Badz has a closed guard, preventing Le from standing up.

Le stands and steps away. Badz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Le darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Le tries to stand but can't do so whilst Badz controls his leg.
Le wants to pass to mount but Badz is defending the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Badz wants to control but Le is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Badz gets full guard.
Badz controls Le momentarily but Le frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Badz uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Le scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Badz tries to buck Le off but Le is having none of it.

Le is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Badz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Badz is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Le is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Le goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Badz turns into him and now he's in Le's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Le had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Badz defends it easily.

Le throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Badz's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We're going to have a standup here because Bocco Badz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Le lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Le.

Le is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Badz's half guard.
Le really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Badz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Le prevents Badz from improving his position.
Badz is concentrating on defense, preventing Le from advancing position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Le landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Le is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Le postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Le's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A chopping leg kick lands by Le.
Le throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Badz's head.

Le shoots in and gets a takedown into Badz's guard.

Badz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Le throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Badz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jay Le showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Le accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Le content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Le stays in close to Badz's body and controls the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jay Le comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Le has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
