Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by Bate Pesadão. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderlei Nogueira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fidel Castro! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira tries to clinch up but Castro circles away and keeps his distance. Castro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Castro displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Nogueira takes a swing at Castro's ribcage but misses. Nogueira throws a leg kick but Castro sees it coming and checks it nicely. Nogueira really is a fat lump. Castro shoots for a takedown but Nogueira saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nogueira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Castro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Nogueira jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Castro manages to avoid the submission attempt. You can see the frustration on Castro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nogueira tries for a kimura but Castro is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nogueira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nogueira stands up. Nogueira is breathing heavily. Nogueira tries to clinch up. Nogueira gets caught flat footed, as Castro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Nogueira looking for a sweep. Not yet Nogueira, not yet. Castro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Castro trying to control the position from guard on top but Nogueira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nogueira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Castro is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nogueira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Castro's back instead. Nogueira avoiding Castro 's attempts to control his hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Castro knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Castro for a finish. Castro turns into Nogueira and is now in his guard.
Castro slips nicely into half guard. Castro works his way into full mount! Castro can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nogueira is looking to escape.

Nogueira might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Castro manages to capitalize on a mistake by Nogueira to take his back! Castro looking for the choke but no joy. Nogueira tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Castro controlling from the full mount. Castro trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Castro controlling the pace for now.
Despite being in the dominant position, Fidel Castro just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nogueira misses the shot to the body. Castro swats away the attempt to clinch by Nogueira. Nogueira with a poor takedown and Castro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderlei Nogueira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Castro wants to control from the top but Nogueira keeps moving. Castro stays in close to Nogueira's body and controls the position. Nogueira wants to get back to his feet but Castro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Castro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nogueira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Nogueira gets back to half guard. Nogueira looking for submissions off his back. Castro works his way into side control. Castro slows the pace down. Let's hope that Castro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Castro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nogueira misses with an elbow from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira is looking to reverse the position. Castro is looking to take a break and control but Nogueira is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Castro just content to control the position. Nogueira is looking to get back to his feet here but Castro is keeping cool and he's managed to take Nogueira's back. Nogueira is trying to break free.

Castro is rocked! Nogueira postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Castro badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Nogueira around the waist but Nogueira pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Nogueira is the winner by TKO! Nogueira jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
