Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Valerovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yurko Bokhun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bokhun comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kevin Rudolf - In The City kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexandre Valerovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yurko Bokhun! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Valerovich checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bokhun throws a body punch but Valerovich moves out of range. Valerovich chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bokhun can pounce on him.
Good work by Valerovich as he checks the leg kick. Valerovich closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bokhun quickly recovers to half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Valerovich controlling the action here. Valerovich has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Valerovich stops Bokhun from getting back to his feet.
Valerovich tries to pass to full mount but Bokhun defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valerovich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Valerovich decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Bokhun throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bokhun thows a body shot but no joy. Bokhun throws a series of punches but Valerovich moves out of range. Yurko Bokhun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bokhun jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Valerovich rushes Bokhun and presses him up against the cage. Bokhun is fighting off a takedown attempt but Valerovich is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bokhun to the mat. Bokhun regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Valerovich is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bokhun looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valerovich is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bokhun can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Valerovich controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Alexandre Valerovich just wasn't active enough. Bokhun tries to clinch but Valerovich moves out of range. A punch combination from Bokhun misses. Valerovich walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bokhun stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bokhun scores with a leg kick.
Valerovich drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valerovich controls the position. Valerovich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bokhun keeps working. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Valerovich decides to take the fight back to the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Valerovich. Valerovich is breathing heavily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bokhun wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bokhun wants to clinch up but Valerovich keeps it at a distance. Bokhun gets caught flat footed, as Valerovich shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Valerovich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Valerovich wants to control from the top but Bokhun keeps moving. Valerovich gets to his feet - Bokhun follows without any prompting. Valerovich keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Valerovich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Valerovich tries to move to mount but Bokhun blocks the move with his legs. Bokhun is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Valerovich's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Alexandre Valerovich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bokhun wants to stand back up but Valerovich manages to pass into side control.
Bokhun is breathing heavily. Valerovich decides to stand back up. Bokhun throws out a loose jab but Valerovich uses good head movement to avoid it. Bokhun misses the jab. Valerovich throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bokhun counters with an inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bokhun throws a jab but it's blocked by Valerovich. Valerovich closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bokhun did well to prevent Valerovich getting side control. Valerovich thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bokhun's head. Valerovich takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Valerovich is working for a submission of some sort.
Bokhun is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valerovich decides to stand and escape the position. Valerovich lands with an overhand left. A swing and a miss from Bokhun. Bokhun fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Valerovich sprawls well initially but Bokhun persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Valerovich manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bokhun must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bokhun got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valerovich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bokhun has managed to get both his arms back between Valerovich's legs - danger averted. Valerovich trying to keep a closed guard but Bokhun is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valerovich working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bokhun. Valerovich controls Bokhun momentarily but Bokhun frees himself. Bokhun wants to pass the guard but Valerovich is keeping the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bokhun working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bokhun trying to control but Valerovich is working from the bottom. Bokhun tries to free his leg and advance position but Valerovich is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexandre Valerovich dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Valerovich gets the takedown into side control. Valerovich swings around for an armbar but Bokhun sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Valerovich's guard. Bokhun trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Valerovich manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Bokhun wants to stand up but Valerovich is controlling him. Valerovich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bokhun is keeping the position for now. Bokhun takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Valerovich passes Bokhun's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bokhun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Valerovich is working away from the top position though. Valerovich decides to stand up. Bokhun jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bokhun takes a swing at Valerovich's ribcage but misses. Alexandre Valerovich is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bokhun takes the fight into the clinch. Valerovich lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bokhun lands a body punch. Valerovich turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Valerovich manages to end up in side control. Valerovich decides to stand back up. Valerovich steps back and let's Bokhun get back to his feet. Valerovich darts in and clinches Bokhun up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Valerovich wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Valerovich lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Valerovich is stalling here. Bokhun is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Valerovich seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bokhun has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Bokhun throws a strike aimed at the side of Valerovich's head but Valerovich avoids it well. Bokhun tries to move into full mount but can't pass Valerovich's legs. Valerovich tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bokhun tries to advance to mount but can't. Bokhun tries to get to his feet but Valerovich is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Bokhun in his guard. Valerovich keeping full guard, as Bokhun tries to pass. Valerovich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bokhun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bokhun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Valerovich avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bokhun throws a strike but Valerovich rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Valerovich decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bokhun, up you get! Bokhun throws a nice looking combination but Valerovich bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Valerovich closes the distance and clinches. Valerovich breaks from the clinch.
Alexandre Valerovich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bokhun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Valerovich moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexandre Valerovich showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Valerovich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
