PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferrari comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Diver by Dio. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

so Um counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Um won't allow Ferrari to get back to his feet.
Um working some strikes from top position.
Ferrari keeping moving, preventing Um from controlling successfully.

Um engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Let's hope that Um has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Um shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Um showed some decent athleticism there.

Um is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Um is pulling down on Ferrari's head. It's preventing any offense from Ferrari, at least for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ferrari accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Um darts in and clinches Ferrari up against the cage.

Um turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Um looks up at the clock and then as Ferrari takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Um smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Um sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ferrari is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Um is looking to take a break and control but Ferrari is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Um working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Well Um has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
