Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles has chosen Enter Sandman by Metallica as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles needs to keep his hands up - Bourne had a free shot at his head there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Orlando Styles hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Styles walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Styles is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bourne had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Horrible takedown by Styles or perhaps it was just good defense by Bourne which made him look bad.
Jason Bourne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orlando Styles.

Styles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poor strikes thrown by Styles there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Styles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bourne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bourne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Styles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bourne is on top in guard.

Styles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bourne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
