Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between General Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Animals as leaders -soraya kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, General Zod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kerry Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Lawson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lawson.
Zod throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lawson lands a glancing blow to the side of Zod's head.
Zod misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lawson looks to score with a jab to the body but Zod is just out of range.
Zod swats away the attempt to clinch by Lawson.

Lawson moves into the clinch successfully.
Lawson misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lawson misses with a knee to the head.
Zod has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lawson throws a head punch that misses.

Lawson wants to stall.
Zod tries to circle away but Lawson has him pinned against the cage.

Zod wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lawson has him pressed against the cage.
Lawson has Zod pressed against the cage, preventing Zod from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Zod is looking to break free of the clinch but Lawson has double underhooks.
Lawson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lawson misses with the head strike.

Zod thows a body shot but no joy.
Zod throws a body punch but Lawson moves out of range.

Lawson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Zod throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lawson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lawson throws a jab but it's blocked by Zod.
Lawson walks into a left hand.
Lawson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Zod.
Zod takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lawson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zod finds it's way round the side to connect with Lawson's head.

Zod gets tackled into the cage by Lawson. Lawson maintains the clinch.
Zod tries to break the clinch but Lawson is controlling the position.
Lawson swings wildly with an uppercut but Zod uses good head movement to avoid it.

Zod breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lawson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zod throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zod swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zod swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Zod misses with an uppercut. Lawson saw that one coming.
Zod throws a jab when Lawson was well out of range.
Lawson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Zod lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lawson backs up against the cage.
Lawson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zod throws out the jab.
Zod misses with a straight left.
Lawson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
and Lawson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Zod! He's just covering up as Lawson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kerry Lawson!
A very excited looking Kerry Lawson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
