Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage. Jackson trying to land knees to the body.

Jackson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jones has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jackson gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jackson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jackson wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jackson is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Jackson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jones is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is working hard here to advance position. Jackson is breathing heavily. Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones controlling the pace for now. Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jon Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jones manages to get back to half guard. Jones makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jones. That one must have hurt. Jones lands with a slapping head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jon Jones will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jackson instigates a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jackson is defending well for now. Jackson is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jackson has his back to the cage. Jones has Jackson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jackson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jones pulls guard successfully.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Quinton Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Quinton Jackson. Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jackson!
Jackson stuffs the takedown. Jackson throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side. Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jones is trying to stand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Quinton Jackson. Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones gets to mount! Jackson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Jackson dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jackson rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Jackson blocks the elbow strike.
Jackson jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Jackson prevents a body shot from Jones. Jackson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses. Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Jackson avoids the damage to the body. Jackson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing. Jackson pulls guard successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jackson misses with a leg kick and Jones counters with a body kick that stops Jackson in his tracks momentarily. Jones clinches up against the cage. Jones landing knees to the body.
Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson clinches up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage. Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jackson throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Jones! Jackson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Jackson up and slammed him! Jackson can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control! Jones controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
