Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mykka Hoivunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kjell Sword (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoivunen comes to the cage accompanied by C SWEDEN SONG - swedish warriors. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mykka Hoivunen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kjell Sword!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sword stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sword wants it to stay on the feet.
Hoivunen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sword as he jumps to the side.
Hoivunen fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mykka Hoivunen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sword scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sword scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoivunen misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hoivunen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sword lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hoivunen is not content to let Sword control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hoivunen is trying to control but can't.
Hoivunen works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hoivunen pulls Sword in to control the position.
Sword with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hoivunen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hoivunen keeping moving, preventing Sword from controlling successfully.
Hoivunen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sword.
Sword throws a big elbow that misses.
Sword postures up and lands a big shot to Hoivunen's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sword is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hoivunen keeping moving, preventing Sword from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoivunen has momentary wrist control but Sword slips an elbow through the middle.
Sword postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Hoivunen covers up, he's hurt! Sword keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sword and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sword can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kjell Sword!
In his post fight interview, Kjell Sword started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
