The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rio scores with a decent looking hook.

Volanov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rio can pounce on him.

Rio fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Volanov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Volanov needs to keep his hands up - Rio had a free shot at his head there.

Jeez, Marcos Volanov's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Rio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rio lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Volanov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rio.
Rio cracks a nice hook into Volanov's ribs.

Rio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Volanov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rio is looking to clinch but Volanov is avoiding it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rio wants to clinch up but Volanov keeps it at a distance.
Rio bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Volanov's head.
Volanov is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Rio moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Rio!
An out of breath Johnny Rio thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
