The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powertseski thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Wannick if he has to take too many more of those.

Powertseski has Wannick up against the cage in a clinch.

Wannick should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Powertseski feints and as Wannick raises his hands in defense, Powertseski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Powertseski decides to stand back up. Powertseski steps back and let's Wannick get back to his feet.

and Powertseski counters by moving into the clinch.

Powertseski is pressed up against the cage. Wannick has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Powertseski down to the mat. Powertseski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Powertseski misses with a takedown attempt - Wannick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wannick is refusing to be controlled, as Powertseski sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wannick pushes off an throws an elbow but Powertseski leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Powertseski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wannick on the ground.

Powertseski is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Wannick rolls with it to try and escape but Powertseski cranks on the arm and Wannick is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
