Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Szpilka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chandler Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chandler Cannon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Artur Szpilka's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Artur Szpilka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chandler Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon swats away the attempt to clinch by Szpilka.
Szpilka closes the distance but Cannon moves to the side
and Cannon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Cannon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Szpilka is trying to defend but Cannon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cannon is keen to just control but Szpilka is a slippery customer.
Szpilka slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Cannon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Szpilka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cannon has managed to get both his arms back between Szpilka's legs - danger averted.
Cannon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Cannon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Szpilka has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cannon but great work by Szpilka.
Szpilka with the ground and pound but Cannon regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Szpilka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Szpilka thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cannon is trying to maintain the position but Szpilka is very close to passing his half guard.
Szpilka not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Cannon wants to improve his position but Szpilka is controlling well.
Szpilka with the ground and pound but Cannon uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Szpilka postures up in Cannon's guard and throws a big left but Cannon blocks it.
Cannon pulls Szpilka in close to his closed guard and prevents Szpilka from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cannon wants to sweep here but Szpilka controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cannon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Szpilka manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cannon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Cannon wants to control but Szpilka is keeping him busy.
Szpilka is looking to regain half guard here but Cannon keeps moving and retains side control.
Szpilka is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cannon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Szpilka is looking to control Cannon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Szpilka avoid being mounted?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cannon scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Cannon looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Cannon trying to control the action but Szpilka is working from the bottom.

Cannon seems to be looking for submissions.
Szpilka manages to get to full guard.
Cannon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Szpilka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cannon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cannon tries to free his leg and advance position but Szpilka is retaining full guard.

Szpilka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cannon defends well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Szpilka isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cannon stacks Szpilka on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cannon!
Cannon cracks Szpilka with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cannon working away.

Cannon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Szpilka has escaped the position, nice work there.
Szpilka is looking for a sweep.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cannon gets to mount! Szpilka was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Szpilka is breathing heavily.
Cannon trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chandler Cannon dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Cannon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Szpilka napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Szpilka is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cannon is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Cannon looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Szpilka is desperately trying to improve his position but Cannon has a good base and remains in mount.
Szpilka is working hard here to advance position.

Cannon has control of Szpilka's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Szpilka regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Cannon lands a nice shot to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Szpilka is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cannon drops a big elbow. That's hurt Szpilka! More shots from Cannon and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chandler Cannon!
