Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Staehlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Vegh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegh has chosen Linkin Park- The catalyst as his entrance music. Arnold Vegh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Staehlin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arnold Vegh! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vegh tests Staehlin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Vegh scores with a jab to the jaw. Good work by Staehlin as he checks the leg kick. Staehlin slaps away a takedown attempt from Vegh, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vegh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Staehlin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Vegh rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Staehlin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vegh throws a series of punches but Staehlin moves out of range. No joy there for Vegh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vegh shoots for a double leg takedown but Staehlin sprawls well. He's pushed Vegh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A head kick misses from Staehlin. Staehlin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vegh. Chris Staehlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arnold Vegh. Staehlin walks into a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vegh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vegh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vegh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vegh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Vegh working the head and body with strikes. Staehlin wants to get back to his feet. Vegh controlling the action here. Vegh scoring with strikes to the body and head. Staehlin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vegh is working away from the top position though. Vegh is looking for a kimura but Staehlin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vegh to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vegh in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Staehlin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vegh!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Arnold Vegh! A relieved looking Arnold Vegh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
