Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mitrione Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabolous Fjodor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitrione Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitrione Jr feints and as Fjodor raises his hands in defense, Mitrione Jr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fjodor looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mitrione Jr is in close to Fjodor's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mitrione Jr wants to control from the top but Fjodor keeps moving.
Mitrione Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Fjodor has wrist control.
Mitrione Jr trying to control but Fjodor is working from the bottom.
Fjodor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Mitrione Jr postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Mitrione Jr has gone for a leg lock! Fjodor slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mitrione Jr's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mitrione Jr has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Fjodor doesn't defend quickly enough and Mitrione Jr has managed to lock this one up! Can Fjodor escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mitrione Jr on a fantastic submission victory.
